A space dedicated to art
Before school, before workshops, before events, Magenta is an art gallery. That means we curate with our own criteria, we rotate exhibitions, we work with artists whose work speaks to what we want to show, and the physical space is designed so the works are properly seen — lighting, walls, viewing rhythm.
The gallery is why Magenta exists. Everything else — school, events, gatherings — grew from there.

Our relationship with local art
Guadalajara de Buga has an artistic life of its own that isn't always visible from outside. Painters, ceramicists, illustrators, visual artists working nearby. Magenta sees itself as part of that fabric: we show local work with the same seriousness we bring to proposals from elsewhere, and we look for the conversation to move in both directions.
This isn't a local-marketing pitch. It's a concrete choice about who we curate and why.
